Brief Description

The 7th Annual BATTLE OF THE POTOMAC XC: MD vs VA Championship or its nickname, the XC BORDER WAR 6 returns to Smokey Glen Farm on the famous double loop course. NIKE DryFit Singlets will be included with the first 400 Open and Seeded registered runners . Middle School runners will either receive a new singlet or prior year singlet. **BATTLE XC 7 STAFF cannot guarantee a specific size singlet. *The Post-Race Barbecue Chicken dinner is included in each runners' registration.  Value of the registration is over $45 dollars .

Thanks to Nike's Chairman's past and current support, this event is the public outreach for youth fitness in the fall for the American Running Association.

Directions to Smokey Glen Farm

From I-270, take the Rt 28 West exit towards Gaithersburg. Proceed approximately 5 miles. Take a right on Riffeford Rd (traffic light) and go another 1/2 mile to Smokey Glen Farm on the right. Turn right at 2nd entrance and park.

Directions

From VA: Follow I-495 across the Legion Bridge into Maryland. Follow the left hand spur onto I-270 North. Follow I-270 north to the MD Route 28West exit. Follow 28 West for approximately 5 miles. Turn right onto Riffleford Rd. Smokey Glen Farm is on the right hand side within a half mile.
